Title: Drug Court/Mental Health Court Program Manager

Closing Date: Until Filled

Department: Probation and Court Services

Hours: Full-Time: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Salary: $63,511-$84,737 annually

This position will be the administrative manager of the Drug Court and the Mental Health Court programs.

Duties:  The Program Manager is responsible for:
• Coordination of treatment services
• Grant procurement and administration
• Financial administration
• Staff supervision
• Data management
• Intergovernmental relations
• Public relations
• Other duties associated with the operation of the Department of Probation and Court Services
• Other duties as assigned

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Adjust work assignments and schedules in the event of an emergency to participate in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities as assigned
• Depending on assignment, may maintain required emergency management training, licensure and/or certifications
• Perform related duties as required or assigned within job classification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proven leadership skills with demonstrated experience leading a team
• Proficiency in public or business administration procedures and practices, including budgeting techniques and methods
• Substantial management experience with an outstanding track record of motivating a team and managing a diverse workforce
• Broad knowledge of methods and procedures for developing and administering probation and court services programs
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Thorough understanding of court procedures, practices, and terminology including State statutes, court rules and local ordinances
• Demonstrated ability to be dynamic, confident and decisive
• Skills to work with members of the judiciary and other justice partners

Education and/or Experience
The desired candidate will have considerable administrative experience in the areas outlined above.  Additionally, considerable knowledge of and experience in court and county operations is desirable.  Knowledge of best practices in substance abuse and mental health treatment is preferred.  Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Master’s degree preferred, and progressive responsibility including management or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  Demonstrated considerable skill in program development.
