Department Overview

The Division of Transportation is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the County Highway system which serves the over 900,000 residents of DuPage County.

The Division of Transportation maintains approximately 220 miles of arterial highways and 50 miles of recreational trails in DuPage County.

Operations include highway design and construction, road and path reconstruction and maintenance, bridge repair, plan review, traffic signs/signal installation and maintenance, right-of-way maintenance and snow plowing within the Division of Transportation's jurisdictional rights-of-way.
