We accept monetary donations through our friends group: DuPage Animal Friends.
As a small shelter, we don't have the ability to store items long-term. Please call the shelter to learn of our current needs: 630-407-2800. Check out currently requested items on our Donations Page.
We moved to an appointment-based schedule after seeing the enormous benefits. Appointments help us:
- Decrease stress for the animals
- Ensure animals staying in foster homes are at the shelter for meetings
- Guarantees a staff member is available to conduct the adoption meetings
- Allows for adequate time at each adoption meeting to answer questions and discuss the animal's individual needs

DCAS is not tax supported, relying completely on our service fees and the support of our community. DuPage Animal Friends, an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charitable organization, is committed to helping provide the lifesaving supplies, medical care, and program funding that fall beyond the scope of Animal Services' limited operating budget. Your contribution to DuPage Animal Friends goes straight to work helping thousands of homeless pets every year that enter DCAS needing care and shelter.
As a small shelter, DCAS schedules volunteers to work at designated shifts. Please see Volunteering for current openings.
We are always looking for loving foster homes to help take care of homeless pets. Visit Foster Care Program to learn more.

Removing deceased animals is the responsibility of the property owner. Never handle wildlife with your bare hands. Use tools like gloves and a shovel to place the deceased animal in a garbage bag. Double bag it and put it out with your regular trash removal.
