Waste, Recycling and Green Initiatives

Message from Environmental Committee Chairman, Jeff Redick

The Environmental Committee welcomes you to the Waste, Recycling & Green Initiatives section of the DuPage County website.   Our aim is to inform the public about environmental issues impacting their health, well-being and safety and provide recycling opportunities to both residents and businesses. 

I encourage you to review all of the categories in this section, as these pages are a great resource for identifying recycling and disposal locations; connecting with local waste haulers; and learning about green buildings, water conservation and energy efficiency.    

Additionally, the County is a recognized leader in addressing environmental concerns.  The 2011 Environmental Progress Report lists many of our accomplishments and ongoing programs.  I am proud of our green achievements.  The County will continue to be on the forefront of environmental issues.
