DuPage County Stormwater Management Hosting “Healthy Rivers, Healthy Streams” Workshop

DuPage County Stormwater Management and The Conservation Foundation will host a free “Healthy Rivers, Healthy Streams” workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5.

“This workshop will provide residents with an introduction to our local stream systems and detailed ways we can protect the quality of our waterways,” said Jim Zay, Chairman of the DuPage County Stormwater Management Committee.

The workshop will discuss ways to reduce pollution in waterways, provide examples of healthy ecosystems and highlight local projects that have improved the quality of streams. Attendees can also network with experts and peers interested in protecting waterways.

“Whether you’re an expert or novice in water quality issues, you will walk away with a better understanding of our local waterways,” Zay said.

The workshop will be held in the Founder’s Room of The Morton Arboretum’s Thornhill Center, 4100 IL Route 53, Lisle. The event is open to the public. Please register in advance by visiting https://healthyriversworkshop.eventbrite.com
