POSITION SUMMARY
Under
direction; performs work of considerable difficulty supervising the activities
in applications programmer and developing/designing information technology
systems; and performs related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING
FEATURES OF THE CLASS
The Project Manager is responsible for planning,
organizing, supervising and coordinating the activities of Project Teams in
their efforts to design/develop new information technology systems to support
the DuPage County Circuit Clerk’s department. Direction is received from the
Chief Deputy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The list

• Responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and
coordinating systems analysts/design work for various department users
•
Provides direction for the staff and assists in the development and training of
employees
• Monitors results of systems analysis and design to assure
proper systems design
• Coordinates with other county offices regarding
information technology needs and establishes priorities for system design;
responsible for maintaining maximum production in each division
•
Responsible for interviewing qualified applicants for applications development
area of the Circuit Court Clerk Department;
• Meets with vendors to
evaluate current market hardware and software for departmental use.

Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment
decisions for all assigned positions
• Maintains regular attendance and
punctuality.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Adjusts work assignments and schedules in the event of an emergency to
participate in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities as
assigned.
• Depending on assignment may maintain required emergency
management training, licensure and/or certifications.
• Performs related
duties as required or assigned within job classification.

SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Exercises supervision of personnel in related area of
responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Completion of a
Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Business Administration or a related
subject; and eight years of computer programming and systems work experience
including two years of supervisory experience or, an equivalent combination of
education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
duties of the job such as those listed above.
